Astrid
Designed for the
next generation of learners

Background

Astrid's mission is to help children around the world improve their reading comprehension. They asked us to create a product and an identity designed for kids. An unusual target group for us, but no challenge is too big. Or, in this case, small.

Challenge

The goal was to create a user-friendly product that makes learning fun yet keeps it educational. With these requirements, we also had to avoid the pitfall of getting lost in the world of gamification. So, if you can't turn it into a game, how do you make it interesting for kids?

Solution

With the help of entertainment and reward systems, we created a digital textbook that encourages kids to continue their learning journey. We designed three mascots for this purpose: Abbe, Alva and Alfred. They work as guides through various teaching elements while keeping spirits high.
